News: Missing an organ? Print out a new one
One day soon you may be able to whip up an organ replacement using a 3D Printer. Scientists have successfully "printed" a human vein using live cells from the donor. The technology could extend to other organs (or maybe additional ones?).

News: Suspended Animation Research
The Pittsburgh's Safar Centre for Resuscitation Research have (apparently) successfully resuscitated some dogs from a dead state. The dogs had their blood drained and replaced with freezing saline solution before death. They were then resuscitated by electric shock a couple of hours later once the solution had been replaced with freshly oxygenated blood.
Much like the Karkehan use their Arq Tanks for repairing clones.
