Dripfeeds from The Elite News: Peak Oil - we're past it

According to recent research - peak oil (defined as the point in time of maximum global petroleum extraction) has already passed.   Other Topics News: Freedom of Ideas

Like many other topics at the moment: censorship of the internet, online piracy and restrictive copyright laws (such as by the SOPA bill in the US) - it seems to me it all boils down to control. The need of the few to control the flow of information. There are those in our society that believe silence is golden and that the dissemination of information is dangerous.
But how can we understand Reality without accurate information? Lack of information is what keeps the poor poor and the powerful in control.

Theories and Ideas News: Cosmic Dark Flow

It appears that most (if not all) observed galaxies seem to be heading one direction. This movement is called the "dark flow". Read the original research here There is evidence that dark flow does not include all galaxies in our visible universe - however this does not discredit the dark flow theory.   Theories and Ideas News: Magnetic map of the galaxy

Scientists have mapped out the Faraday depth of the Milky way (from Earth's perspective of course). This gives us an idea of the strength and polarity of the galactic field, which would be highly useful should Magno-stratic propulsion ever become a reality. click here to read

Mass Destruction Anyone? News: Genetic Modification let loose

A company called Oxitec has released genetically modified mosquitoes into the wilds of Brazil, Malaysia and the Caymans. The modified mosquitoes wreck their breeding cycle causing the populations to collapse. The consequences on ecosystems and of disease transfer are unknown. It seems to me this sets a dangerous precedent. click here to read the article
